I’d like to commend your team member, Boma, who led the SAC on Easter Sunday at the Red Lion Bridge site in Hemel.

Firstly, Boma delivered an excellent brief, made sure people were attentive and asked questions to check their understanding.

Secondly, he challenged me and asked me to retrieve my helmet light before signing me in. I’d recently visited another local site, and despite signing out, the SAC at the previous job hadn’t done so. He took it upon himself, after explaining I was NR on site visits and hadn’t exceeded my time, to call MacRail Control to validate my story and manually update the system – first class!

When another junior engineer arrived to sign into site, the same rigour was applied and it was discovered he didn’t have all the correct paperwork. Boma was polite and insisted on the proper documentation, leading to the individual’s team leader delivering the correct information. Boma could have let all these things go, but he didn’t.

A fantastic example of doing the basics incredibly well and having the right behaviour, especially when challenging a situation in a polite but constructive manner. First class.
